El profesor Arturo Ibáñez León es Licenciado en Ciencias Jurídicas y Sociales por la Universidad de Chile, Magister Juris (MJur) y candidato a Doctor en Derecho (DPhil in Law) por la Universidad de Oxford.
Las áreas de interés del profesor Ibáñez son el derecho civil, el derecho privado comparado y la historia del derecho. Actualmente desempeña labores docentes en cursos de derecho civil y desarrolla investigación en materias relativas a esquemas de protección del derecho de dominio desde una perspectiva comparada.
Se desempeñó como litigante en temas civiles y comerciales en Claro y Cía. También fue asesor legal en la Dirección Jurídica de la Municipalidad de La Reina y Fiscal de la Subsecretaría de Desarrollo Regional y Administrativo del Ministerio del Interior y Seguridad Pública.
El profesor Ibáñez se incorporó a la Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez como profesor de jornada completa en enero de 2016.
Abstract
Professor Arturo Ibáñez León obtained his undergraduate degree at the Universidad de Chile, Faculty of Law (LLB). He also holds a postgraduate degree from the University of Oxford, Faculty of Law (MJur) and is currently reading for a DPhil in law also at University of Oxford, Faculty of Law.
Professor Ibáñez’s interest areas are private law, comparative private law and legal history. Currently, his teaching responsibilities lie in private law courses and his research is focused on schemes of protection of ownership from a comparative perspective.
Professor Ibáñez practised civil and commercial litigation at Claro y Cía. He also worked at the legal department of the Municipality of La Reina, Santiago, Chile. Professor Ibáñez was also head of the legal department of the Office of Regional and Administrative Development at the Ministry of Interior of the Chilean Government.
Professor Ibáñez joined Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez as a full time professor in January 2016.
